Obituary of Andrew Falk

CHESHIRE - Andrew Falk, 30, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at his home. Andrew was born September 17, 1986 in New Haven, the son of Donald A. Falk and Karen (Wagner) Longyear. He was a lifelong Cheshire resident where he graduated from Cheshire High School Class of 2004. He was employed for a number of years with Shop Rite in Wallingford, the Wallingford West Side YMCA, Ann Taylor Loft, and most recently with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield in Wallingford where Andrew’s co-workers appreciated the “Snack Shack” that he operated. Andrew volunteered for the past 10 years with the St. Thomas Becket Social Action Ministry, helping with monthly food collection, annual Advent Giving Tree, toy drive, and annual clothing collection. Andrew also volunteered with Wreaths Across America this past December accompanying his family to Arlington National Cemetery. Andrew was a fun-loving person with a smile and laugh that endeared him to everyone who knew him. He enjoyed shopping and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He loved New York City and Cher and was known to all as a generous, witty and considerate person. He is also remembered for the special eulogy he gave for his grandfather, Charles Falk. Andrew’s final resting place will be beside his beloved grandparents. Besides his father of Cheshire and his mother of FL, Andrew is survived by his sister Jennifer Daly of Cheshire; his brothers Jeffrey Falk of Cheshire and Stephen Falk of Southington; his cherished nieces Hayley, Alexis, Payton, Brianne, and Sophie; his cherished nephews, Jack, Aiden, Brendan; as well as his cat, Pepe and the family dog, Rommel. Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017, 9:15 a.m. from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street to St. Thomas Becket Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
