I worked with John for several years at NCR in Waterbury. He was the kindness man in the branch. Never a bad word about anybody. I got along with John very well and although he was my "boss" he treated me with great respect.
I was promoted out of the branch so I lost touch with many I had known, but John was thought of frequently.
John, may heaven take of you forever. I know you are there. RIP my friend.

I am very sorry to hear of John's passing, he was very special to me. I worked with John at NCR when I first hired on and for 11 years after. Although I moved with NCR to Ohio, I have never forgotten the wonderful teacher, mentor and cheerleader he was for me. When I began at NCR I was only 19 years old and John took me under his wing giving me much of the training and coaching I would need to be successful. His incredible kindness, intelligence, knowledge of the business and sense of humor was invaluable not only to me but our co-workers, and I'm sure his many friends.
When I began my career at NCR I still lived at home and I remember one night telling my mother about John helping me learn. Her face lit up and she told me she knew both him and his wife as she and Alice were good friends in school. I still smile about that to this day.
I wound up working at NCR for over 43 years and always felt John played a major role in helping me achieve the successes I enjoyed. From time to time over the years I have thought about John and smiled. I wish I had taken the time to tell him what he meant to me and someday I will. I am saddened by his passing but I know he is in heaven. Perhaps he'll show me around if and when I get there one day. God bless you John, you were a heck of a great guy.
