Obituary of Jeanne McConnell

Jeanne McConnell- Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend Jeanne Lorraine (DeVylder) McConnell, 67, of Cheshire, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. Jeanne was born on May 19, 1949 in Hartford. She graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing and her career spanned nearly 40 years. She was an active member and deaconess in Cornerstone Church for 35 years. She took pleasure in her family, her nursing career, and serving in the church. She is survived by John, her loving husband of 43 years, and her children Stephen (Jennifer), Maggie, Mary (Dave), and Paul (Rebecca), as well as her grandchildren Jonathan, Katherine, Stephanie, MaKayla, Anthony, MacKenzie, Alyssa, and Riley. She will also be missed by the fur babies of the family, her cat Charcoal, plus her granddogs Max, Zeus, Mya and Brown Dog. She also leaves behind her brother Joe (Sally) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Joe and Josephine (Gerard) DeVylder. There will be a memorial service to celebrate her life at Cornerstone Church at 1146 Waterbury Road, in Cheshire on Sunday, April 9 at 4pm. Jeanne touched so many lives with great love as well as her unshakable faith in the Lord. She was an inspiration to those newly come to the faith, and will be greatly missed. She leaves behind a large, loving family and a long lasting legacy. We love you and will miss you so much.
