Obituary of Henry P. Psybyski, Jr.

Henry P. “Hank” Psybyski, Jr., age 63, of Cheshire entered into rest on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Mary (Corso) Psybyski for over 37 years. Henry was born on August, 7, 1953 in Providence, RI, son of Josephine (Taraska) Psybyski and the late Henry Psybyski, Sr. Hank grew up in Cumberland, RI where he was a pitcher for little league and later Cumberland High School baseball team before coming to CT to attend UNH and play baseball while earning his Bachelor’s degree in business management. He worked as a supervisor and machine operator for various manufacturing companies, most recently Sheldon Precision in Prospect. Hank enjoyed going to the flea market early mornings so that he could catch the early morning stir of wildlife and scenery. Hank absolutely loved to play golf and played in several golf leagues. In addition to his wife, Mary of Cheshire and his mother, Josephine of Cumberland, RI, Hank is survived by his sister, Christine Doderer and her husband, Arthur “Skip” of Cumberland, RI, and his loving in-laws and cherished nieces and nephews. He also leaves his precious cats, Sugar and Spice that filled his heart with love and joy. Hank’s funeral procession will leave the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So. Main Street, Cheshire, CT 06410 on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 11:15AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12PM in St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven. Friends may greet Hank’s family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30AM until his procession leaves for church.
