Obituary of John A. Cianciolo, Jr.

John A. Cianciolo Jr., age 61, of Waterbury and formerly of Thomaston entered into rest on Friday, May 5, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury after a long illness.  John was born on April 27, 1956 in Waterbury, son of the late John and Florence (Davis) Cianciolo Sr.

John was a graduate of Thomaston High School, Class of ’74.  He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, where he enjoyed many activities, to include camping, hiking and hang gliding.

He is the beloved brother of Mike Cianciolo of New Milford; Randi Cianciolo of Wolcott; Matthew Cianciolo of Winchester; Laura Hancock and her husband, John of Hampstead, NC; Joyce Bates and her husband, Gary of Gaylordsville; Jill Thorland and her husband, Scott of Warren; and Wendy Cianciolo of New Milford.  John also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.

Services for John will be private and at the convenience of his family.  The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury has been entrusted with his care.
