Barbara was a bright light in our community and in our congregation. Years ago, my wife Laurie and I purchased one of her paintings that caught our eyes and today, it sits prominently in our living room, a testament to Barbara's gifts that she shared with the world. She will be missed!

The Nester family would like to extend its condolences to the Madden family with the passing of your mother. She was a wonderful woman and a great neighbor. We still refer to 37 Deering Lane as the Madden house and probably always will. We're sure she's in a much better place now.

My deepest sympathies go out to you . May God give you the peace that you seek. When I read of your mom's passing my thoughts went back to our childhood and I chuckled remembering how your mom called you home with that special call she had. I came to a cow bell. Those were fun days.

We remember Barbara fondly from her time singing in the choir at the Congregational Church of Naugatuck. She always had a ready smile and warm words of greeting whenever she visited the church in recent years. We are thankful for having crossed paths with her. Condolences to Barbara's family at this time.

My thoughts are with Katie & her siblings on the passing of their mother, Barbara. I did not know Barbara well but had met & had conversation with Katie & was not aware that her mother had passed until late yesterday. Barbara was a neighbor of my mother, Jane Harper, and my sisters & mother & I send our best to the family at this time. We admired her art. Sandra

Dear family of Mrs. Madden,
I attended Prospect Street School and Mrs. Madden was my art teacher. I remember her fondly and am sorry to hear of her passing. She introduced me to many new things, Craypas and how to draw a tree being just a couple of them. I know she inspired many young minds. I am grateful to have known her. I pray that you will all share in the peace that she now knows. Blessings to all of her loved ones.

Please accept My Sincerest sympathies .The entire Madden Family were neighbors to my family. I we all grew up together attending local schools. I often used to see George
SR at Marty's Corner drug store he was always very amicable. I used to visit my mother who lived just down the street. She passed away in 1988.So my visits to Naugatuck became less frequent. I will always remember the Madden Family.
