Dear Chris,
I extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family as you journey on without your beloved wife. The obituary painted a complete picture of an active, thoughtful and sensitive woman who valued both her family and larger community. I am sorry for your loss and for your sorrow.
If you do not recognize my name, perhaps you can train your memory back to your youth and the summers you spent in Maine at Camp Winnebago -- I am Uncle Bennett's youngest daughter. I wrote to you years ago, but I imagine my letter wound up in the trash without making it to your desk. I was sharing my own memories of you, already practicing your craft during sessions on the Winnebago radio station. Even then you were saying, "back, back, back, back" and inserting nicknames for the players as you called the play-by-play. Those were happy days.
Again, my condolences on the sudden death of your dear Kathy. May you find some solace in the warm memories you created together.
