We are all so sorry to learn of Cliff's passing. But such a full and storied life he led! My son Will was in the last chess class Cliff taught and he took a special interest in him. He had my wife Jennifer and I over to his home where he tutored Will and shared his hospitality with us . The stories of his exploits in WW2 and the opportunity to flip through his book were amazing! He was one of a kind, and truly one of the Greatest Generation.He gave my son the gift of the love of chess,and gave me the chance to meet a truly fine man. God bless him..
