Obituary of Catherine R. O'Reilly

Catherine R. “Cat” O’Reilly, age 50, of Cheshire entered into rest on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at CT Hospice in Branford after a long illness.  She was the devoted wife of John P. O’Reilly, Jr.  Catherine was born on March 17, 1967 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, daughter of Marise (Robroeck) Krampovitis and the late Samuel Appel.

 Cat worked as an administrative assistant for the American Heart Association and was most proud to be a mother.  She enjoyed movies and music, and loved cats.

 In addition to her husband, John of Cheshire and her mother, Marise of North Haven, Cat is the beloved mother of Shane O’Reilly of Middletown and the loving sister of Carolyn Cowan and her husband, Mike of Grafton, NH.  She is also survived by her step-father, John Krampovitis of Trumbull; her mother-in-law, Katherine “Kate” O’Reilly of Cheshire; and her cherished cat, Sammy.

She was predeceased by her son, John P. O’Reilly, III and her father-in-law, John “Jack” O’Reilly. 

 Friends are invited to greet Cat’s family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So. Main St., Cheshire, CT 06410 on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 5PM to 8PM.

 On Wednesday, June 14, 2017, friends are asked to meet directly at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11AM.  Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery, Higgins Rd., Cheshire.  To leave condolences for her family or to share a story of Cat, please visit www.fordfh.com
