To the Hale Family. I am deeply saddened to hear of Jerry's passing. My life was enriched by having Jerry as a friend and fellow insurance professional for over 40 years. Myself and many others have learned a great deal from Jerry and if more folks followed his lead this world would be a much better place. I am truly blessed to have Jerry in my life for so many years. We spent so much time together while the 4 of us were in college...though afterwards- distance, jobs, children kept us from seeing each other very much ....the connection we had has never been forgotten. Jerry and all of you have been on our minds, hearts and so many prayers since Jerry received his diagnosis.Carrie and Jill with pictures and notes about family special moments have been treasured by us during Jerry's courageous fight traveling this journey.......his love for Joanne we have always known and clearly seen in the photos we saw - for his children and grandchildren. Jerry personified the principles of the Honorable Order of the Blue Goose International ... Character, Charity and Fellowship. He served our Order for many years at the local chapter level (Hartford Pond) and at the International level as our International President (Most Loyal Grand Gander) and later our Grand Historian. Yet, Jerry was so much more than a loyal member of our Order, he was a great friend and leader who lived by the precepts of integrity and honesty and was a man who loved his Family, his God and his Country. We shall all miss you, Jerry! May God bless you and keep you! We greet you and salute you n the silent hall of memory ... hail dear friend, and farewell! Our thoughts and prayers are with the Hale family and extended family and all of Jerry's many friends who, like us, are sad to lose Jerry so young.

It's so hard to imagine a world without Jerry. I moved to CT thirty years ago and didn't know a soul here. But that didn't last for long, because soon I met Jerry through Blue Goose and he welcomed me with open arms. It didn't take long before I was privileged to count him as one of my closest friends, and that friendship extended to our respective families too. His love for his family, his laughter, his leadership, his generosity, and his joy for life are things I'll always remember about him. God Bless you and your family, Jerry. Save a seat for all of us.
