Obituary of Wilbur H. Tassmer

Branford – Wilbur H. Tassmer, 77, formerly of Cheshire, passed away at his home on August 1, 2017. He was the husband of Anne (Wrinn) Tassmer.

Mr. Tassmer was born on June 24, 1940 in Cheshire, a son of the late Peter and Jeanette (Trede) Tassmer. He was retired from Pratt & Whitney where he was employed as an inspector.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Tassmer is survived by his two sons, Paul Tassmer of Delray Beach Florida, and Peter Tassmer of New Britain. He will also be missed by his two grandsons, Henry and William Tassmer. Mr. Tassmer was predeceased by his brother, Peter Tassmer and his sister, Dorothy Tassmer.

Arrangements – A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Friends may call at The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home, 615 South Main St., Cheshire, Saturday morning, from 10:00 a.m. until departure.
