Obituary of John R. Forcinelli

John R. Forcinelli, age 82, of Cheshire entered into rest on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury.  He was the devoted husband of Linda (Nacewicz) Forcinelli, with whom he celebrated 45 years of marriage this past April.  John was born on May 22, 1935 in New Haven, son of the late Pasquale and Josephine (Mellilo) Forcinelli.

John had a work ethic that was second to none, proudly working as a Carman in the railroad industry, eventually retiring from Metro-North Railroad after 42 years of service.  He was a drummer for The Patriots for 30 years, a band popular for playing special events in the New Haven area during the 1970’s and 1980’s; and later joined the Al Root Orchestra in Cheshire.  John adored his wife Linda and their life together, and he loved every one of his cats.

John is survived by several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his siblings; Phyllis Miller, Dolores Surato, Florinda DiGioia, Eleanor Vallencort, and Frank, Anthony, Joseph and Albert Forcinelli.

In keeping with John’s wishes, no services will be held.  The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire has been entrusted with his care.
