My condolences to the Van Allen Family.
I met Anna Lee in her later years when we would drive together the first Tuesday of each month to the CT Women of UCC meetings. She was a great source of encouragement and knowledge to me during my tenure as president.
I thoroughly enjoyed our rides together to Hartford as she always spoke of her family and experiences of her past.
She was a grand lady, one of a kind individual and it was my honor to have known her.
Rest in Peace ALVA

AnnaLee was a change agent - she went after what she saw as need in her community with grace and tenacity. She was a role model and a friend. She and Sarah Buell were a dynamic duo and their friendship , hi-jinx and humor still puts a smile on my face. They were women who dug into their faith and weren't afraid to wrestle issues to the ground - AnnaLee will be missed, and heaven will never be the same now that all 4 of them ( Bob , Sherm, ALVA and Sarah) are together again !
Peace and blessings to their families. She will be dearly missed.

One of the great ladies in my life. Loved playing tennis and ping pong with her and Sarah. Nice Christmas parties and a LOT of church fairs, dinners and meetings. (Not the best hugger, but I could get away with one on special occasions). Best thoughts and memories for the Van Allen families.
Rick
