Obituary of Susan J. Perrotti

CHESHIRE - Susan J. Perrotti, 73, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 at her home in Cheshire surrounded by loving family. She was the devoted wife of Richard Perrotti.

Mrs. Perrotti was born March 8, 1944 in Columbus, OH, the daughter of the late John C. and Helen (Carlin) Cluney.  She was raised in Cheshire, moving from Ohio at the age of 4.  As a child she enjoyed showing horses.  Susan was an active member of the Cheshire community, a volunteer for several March of Dimes and Special Olympics events. She was a member of the Cheshire Garden Club as well as being a communicant of St. Bridget Church.

Susan was known as being multi-talented with gardening and decorating which led to her the co-ownership of Simple Touches with her daughter.  One of her favorite things was to spend time at the beach with family and friends. She was a member of the Farms Country Club and loved golfing with her friends.

Besides her husband of 54 years, Mrs. Perrotti is survived by her children Richie Perrotti of Stafford Springs, CT, Jamie Perrotti and his wife Kim of Manlius, NY, Robert Perrotti of Cheshire, CT, Kristin Kurtz her husband Charlie of Cheshire, and her grandchildren: Benjamin, Matthew, Annie, James, Lily, Sophie, and Charles.

Susan is also survived by her sister Chris Hoffmann and her husband James of Southbury; her brothers John Henry Cluney and his wife Christine of MA and Carl G. Cluney and his wife Nickie of Southbury.

Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 with the funeral procession leaving the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. at 10:15 for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bridget Church at 11 am.  Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Thursday, from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Boulevard, Southington, CT 06489.
