Obituary of Angela T. Limata

Angela T. “Teresa” Limata, age 94, of Cheshire entered into rest on Monday, October 2, 2017 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden.  She was the devoted wife of Joseph Limata for 60 years.  Teresa was born on October 3, 1922 in New Haven, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Merola.

Teresa enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, cooking and gardening, she was a resilient woman who never feared arduous work in the yard.  Teresa loved going out, and travelling whenever and wherever she could with her husband, Joe.

She is the beloved mother of Marc Limata and his wife, Mary of Cheshire; loving grandmother of Marc Jr., Shawn and his wife, Danielle, Lauren and Katelyn.  Teresa also leaves her one cherished great grandchild and namesake, Isabella Teresa.  She was predeceased by her siblings.

Friends may greet Teresa’s family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So. Main Street, Cheshire, CT 06410 on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 9AM until 10AM.  Her Funeral Service will be held at 10AM at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.  At the request of her family, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
