Obituary of Jean G. DeLucia

Cheshire - Jean DeLucia, age 98, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at the Southington Care Center, Southington, Connecticut.  She was the wife of the late Ernest C. DeLucia.

Mrs. DeLucia was born June 6, 1919, in New Haven, Connecticut, the daughter of the late August and Virginia Gallio. She was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother.  Jean was an active member of the Cheshire Garden Club and with her husband Ernest, they were long time members of The Farms Country Club.  Together they owned and operated DeLucia Farms of Cheshire.  They were active parishioners of St. Bridget’s Church and spent many winters in Luquillo, Puerto Rico with their family and friends.

Mrs. DeLucia is survived by her sons, Ernest, and his wife Ellen of Easton, Connecticut, Joseph, and his wife Marilyn of Cheshire, Connecticut and her daughter, Virginia DeLucia of Milford, Connecticut.   She will also be missed by her eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Arrangements - A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 A.M, Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main Street, Cheshire, Connecticut. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery, Higgins Road, Cheshire.  The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street, is assisting with the arrangements.
