Obituary of Gordon S. Freeman

CHESHIRE- Gordon S. Freeman, 91, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife Shirley S. Freeman.

Mr. Freeman was born June 14, 1926 in New Gloucester, ME, son of the late William and Hazel (Simonton) Freeman.

Gordon was a veteran, proudly serving in the United States Air Force. He was an Instructor for S.N.E.T (Southern New England Telephone) prior to his retirement. Mr. Freeman was an avid Hunter and Fishermen, he also was a member of the Hamden Fish and Game Club, and the West Haven Yacht Club.

Gordon is survived by his son Richard Freeman of Fairfield, ME; and his daughter Cynthia Freeman of West Gardiner, ME. He was predeceased by five sisters.

Arrangements- A Graveside Service for Mr. Freeman will be held 11 A.M, Monday, November 6, 2017 at Centerville Cemetery, Washington Ave, Hamden, CT 06518. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery. Burial will follow after the service and there are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street, 06410 is assisting the family with the arrangements.
