Obituary of Rita Beebe

Cheshire - Rita W. Beebe passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Howard T. Beebe, Jr.

Rita was born September 18, 1924 in New Haven. The daughter of the late William and Catherine (Donahue) Walsh. She was predeceased by her sisters, Helen Malia and Kathryn Franke and her brother, Thomas Walsh. She was a long time resident of Cheshire, where she was a communicant of Saint Thomas Becket Church.  Rita worked at the Boy Scouts of America Quinnipiac Council Office in New Haven, where she met her husband Howard. She was an accomplished artist in many mediums. Later in life, she occupied her time by making rosary beads for the missions.  She loved her family and cherished her time caring for her grandchildren when they were young.

Rita is survived by her daughter, Maryann Beebe of Cheshire, her sons William (Margaret) Beebe of Cheshire and Richard (Beth) Beebe of Chester; her grandchildren Justin Scarpo, Nowen (William) Carone, Christopher Beebe and Kathryn Beebe.

Arrangements - Mass of Christian Burial was held 11am on Thursday December 7, 2017 at Saint Thomas Becket Church, Cheshire. Memorial contributions can be made to an organization of one's choice. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
