Obituary of Rev. Robert E. Hullstrung

BEACON FALLS- Rev. Robert E. Hullstrung, 83, formerly of Grand Isle, Vermont, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.  He was the devoted husband of Flora R. (Robinson) Hullstrung to whom he was married for 58 years.

Rev. Hullstrung was born October 8, 1934 in Mineola, NY son of the late Jacob and Ethel (Condy) Hullstrung.

Robert served four United Methodist parishes on Long Island, NY:  East Meadow, East Quogue, Uniondale, & Woodbury.  After retiring to Vermont, he served 18 years as pastor at West Swanton UMC.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his four sons Garret Hullstrung of Syosset, NY, Jeffrey Hullstrung of Jericho, VT, Russell and his wife Sophia Hullstrung of Beacon Falls, and Gregory and his wife Liza Hullstrung, Mohegan Lake, NY; and four grandchildren Savannah, Michael, Matthew, and Jaxon.

Arrangements- There will be a memorial service held at the Yorktown United Methodist Church, 2300 Crompond Rd, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598 on January 6, 2018 AT 11:30 A.M.  The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow Street, 06770, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
