Obituary of Donald Wheeler

MIDDLEBURY - Donald Wheeler, 86, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Beacon Brook Health Center in Naugatuck. 

Mr. Wheeler was born March 29, 1931 in Waterbury, the son of the late Frank and Anna (Carrol) Wheeler.  He was raised in Waterbury before moving to Middlebury in 1969.  He was a longtime member of the Watertown Grange completing all 7 degrees.  He had many friends around the neighborhood and loved old movies, especially westerns.

He is survived by several cousins including William Honegger and his wife Erma of Middlebury, with whom he made his home.

Arrangements – Mr. Wheeler’s funeral will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St.  Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery and there are no calling hours.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department 65 Tucker Hill Rd., Middlebury, CT  06762 or Disabled American Veterans, 80 Hall Ave, Meriden, CT 06450.
