Obituary of Gail Richard

CHESHIRE - Gail Richard, 79, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden surrounded by her family.  She was the wife of Leon Richard Sr.

Mrs. Richard was born March 20, 1938 in Cheshire, a daughter of the late Jerry and Gertrude (Burdo) Rabideau. She was the manager of Raymond’s in Cheshire before owning and operating the Children’s Block Outlet and Shelly’s Boutique

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Richard is survived by her son, Leon Jr. and his wife, Kelly of Cheshire; her daughter Cindy and her husband Jerry of Cheshire; her siblings, Lorraine Johnson, Jerry Rabideau,  Coral Beebe and Gloria Richard. She also leaves behind her six grandchildren, Christopher and his wife Tara, Jesse, Samantha, Jonathan, Katelyn, and Allison, and two great grandchildren, Jack and Christopher Jr.

Arrangements: Services for Mrs. Richard will be held 11:00 am on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Thursday, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
