Obituary of Joseph C. Mastropietro, Sr.

Joseph C. Mastropietro, Sr., age 85 of Waterbury passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, January 15, 2018 at his home.  Joe was the devoted husband of the late Marion Ella (Straw) Mastropietro.  He was born on December 21, 1932 in Waterbury, son of the late Michael, Sr. and Carmella (Scarpati) Mastropietro.

Joe worked for many years at Reliable Factory in Waterbury.  He was a simple man who enjoyed working on cars with his sons; and who absolutely adored his wife and loved his family. 

He is the beloved father of Paul Mastropietro and his wife, Roberta of Waterbury; Joe Mastropietro, Jr. and his wife, Sue of Waterbury; and his three daughters, Charlene, Carmella and Rosalyn.  He also leaves his 9 loving grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, Amber, Austin, Robert, Michael, Raymond, John and Angelina; his cherished great grandchildren, Sophia and Khloe; brother, Vincent Mastropietro; and his sisters, Rose Cerrillo and her husband, Tony of Waterbury and Genevieve Fusco of Waterbury.  Joe was predeceased by his brother, Michael Mastropietro and his sister, Cynthia Vogali.

A Celebration of Joe’s Life will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Jesse Camille’s Restaurant, 615 Church Street, Naugatuck, CT 06770 from 6PM until 8PM.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of his family.  The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck has been entrusted with his care.  To share a story of Joe, or to leave condolences for his family online, please visit www.fordfh.com
