Obituary of Barbara H. Voegeli

CHESHIRE- Barbara H. Voegeli, 88, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Whitney Rehab Care Center. She was the widow of Roger Voegeli who predeceased her in 1977.

 

She was born August 1, 1929 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Samuel and Lois (Welton) Hall.

 

Mrs. Voegeli was a member of the First Congregational Church of Cheshire, where she also served as an usher. She was a member of the Cheshire Hillside Cemetery Committee, and the Red Hat Society. Above all Barbara will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was always proud of her family’s heritage, and being one of the founding families of Cheshire.

 

Barbara is survived by two sons Paul and his wife Rosemary Voegeli, and Curtis and his wife Lori Voegeli, both of Cheshire; a daughter Lea and her husband Kevin Luddy of Cheshire; grandchildren Bridget Bowman, Steven and his wife Alicia Bowman, Jennifer Voegeli, Roger Voegeli, Paul Voegeli, Lindsay Voegeli and her fiancé Collin, Allison Voegeli; great grandchildren Conn and Crew Bowman; niece Kathleen Gersowitz and her husband Bob; nephew Matthew Hall and his wife Lisa; sister in law Irene Hall, and two step grandchildren Erin Luddy, and Gregg Luddy. She was predeceased by her two brothers Roger and Kenneth (Bud) Hall, and her sister in law Maureen Hall.

 

Arrangements- Calling hours for Barbara will be held 3 to 6 P.M, Sunday, January 28, 2018 at The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410. Mrs. Voegeli’s funeral will be held 10 A.M, Monday January 29, 2018 at The First Congregational Church of Cheshire, 111 Church Drive, 06410. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Donations in her name can be made to The First Congregational Church of Cheshire, 111 Church Drive, 06410.
