Obituary of Jacquelyn Wallace
CHESHIRE - Jacquelyn Wallace, 65, passed away Friday November 9, 2012 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden.
Ms. Wallace was born November 22, 1946 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late William J. and Constance (Minori) Wallace. She was raised in Cheshire, attending local schools and graduating from Cheshire High School, Class of 1964. After graduation, she worked at Cheshire Town Hall in the finance department until her retirement in 2011. She was a Communicant of The Church of the Epiphany where she was active in the Church Choir. Her family was among the founding members who participated in the building of the Church in 1967.
Ms. Wallace enjoyed choral singing, painting and crafts, as well as country line dancing. She was known for her extensive cruise travel throughout the world and looked forward to her monthly luncheons with the "Waverly Ladies" of Cheshire. She was a long time member of the Cheshire Community Chorus and the Cheshire Senior Center more recently.
Ms. Wallace is survived by her aunt, Mary Ellen (Schiapelli) Dessureault and her husband Guy of Wolcott; an uncle, Vincent J. Rosa of Effort, PA; her cousins, Loretta (Jorgensen) Hoffman of Ruskin, FL; Paul Rosa of Hillsboro,NH; Roberta (Rosa) Sansevero of Charlotte, NC; Carol (Minori) Madigan of Freeport, NY; James Minori of Brentwood, NY; Joan (Wallace) Amundsen of Hatfield, PA; Frank Wallace of FL; her good friend of many years, Sheila Batchelar of Ocean City, NJ; as well as many other cousins , lifelong friends and neighbors who enriched her life as she did theirs.
Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Friday November 16, 2012 at 10 a.m. at The Church of the Epiphany, 1750 Huckins Road, Cheshire. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
