Obituary of Lorraine De Santis

CHESHIRE- Lorraine De Santis, 94, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas M. De Santis in 2011 after 65 years of marriage.

She was born April 5, 1924 in Hartford daughter of the late Walter and Rose (Parent) Thorn.

Mrs. De Santis was an avid reader, a great cook in her younger years, collector of fine Irish China, and an avid dog lover. Lorraine loved spending her summer in Cape Cod at their former home in South Dennis.

Lorraine is survived by her two daughters Sandra and Carole De Santis both of Cheshire; and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and her dog Bridget. She was predeceased by her brother Raymond Thorn, and her sister Clarisse Bruneau.

Arrangements- A funeral mass for Mrs. De Santis will be held 10 A.M Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at St. Anthony Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect, 06712. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Queen of Peace Mausoleum, and there are no calling hours. The Alderson- Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
