Obituary of Joseph John Bengivengo

WEST HAVEN- Joseph John Bengivengo, 86, passed away, Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the widower of Dolores (Valentino) Bengivengo who predeceased him in 2007.

Mr. Bengivengo was born July 31, 1931 in New Haven son of the late Charles and Theresa Bengivengo.

Joseph was a veteran in the United States Navy serving on both the U.S.S Coats and U.S.S Storm, and during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a technician in the Electronic Business Machine Industry prior to his retirement.

Mr. Bengivengo was a Past President of the Knights of Columbus New Haven Chapter.

Joseph is survived by his sister in law Beverly Swan of Simsbury; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews of the Cozzolino, Rosenblum, Campbell, Swan, Valentino, Camarota and Bengivengo families.

Arrangements- A Funeral Mass for Mr. Bengivengo will be held 10 A.M, Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Christ Bread of Life Church, 321 Circular Ave, Hamden, 06514. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Entombment with military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave, North Haven. There are no calling hours.
