Obituary of Gloria Knutson

WATERBURY - Gloria "Annette" Knutson, 77, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday November 22, 2012. She was the wife of Herbert L. Knutson Sr. who passed away in 2005. Gloria was born April 11, 1935 in Northbridge, MA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Alma (Lavalle) Sansoucie. She had lived in Waterbury since 1952 where she graduated from the Kaynor Technical Nursing School program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked for many years at various convalescent homes and visiting nursing agencies, and was a member of the Bunker Hill Congregational Church. She is survived by her son Herbert L. Knutson Jr. and his wife Ellen of Waterbury; her brother Conrad Sansoucie of Oakville and his wife Stephania, her stepdaughter Virginia Fowler and her husband Donald of Cheshire, three grandchildren Jessica Moreira and her husband Lionel of Wolcott, Erik Knutson and his wife Mallory of Waterbury; and Gregory Fowler and his wife Danielle of Cheshire, as well as four great grandchildren, Cameron, Brandon, Allison, and Avery. She is predeceased by her sisters Bertha Robison and Marie Stankiewicz. Arrangements - A Graveside service will be held on Saturday December 1, 2012 at 10 a.m. at New North Cemetery in Woodbury. Calling hours will be held on Sunday November 25, 2012 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, 1075 Chase Pkwy., Waterbury, CT 06708.
