Sarah, Jake and family
Your Dad was one of a kind, truly love by so many of us, he will be forever remembered by Don and myself as one of the few who could lead us on the motorcycles, anywhere here in Connecticut or where ever our adventures took us. He knew that he had his friends with him and he never took chances, he rode as we were his own kids behind him, following him. We trusted him to lead us anywhere. I trusted him as a great friend. I trusted him.
We will miss his smile, his generous heart, his compassion, his sense of adventure, his sense of humor, his sense that yes there are women in this bunch and I better stop so we could go to the bathroom, he knew all the Dunkin Donuts and best ice cream shops. He knew never ever try to feed Tracy gas station hot dogs.
He was my friend, our friend and I am lucky to have had him in my life since he walked through those doors all those years ago and then riding with him for almost as long. Riding will not be the same.
Don and I were in Wisconsin, we weren't home but we were at Harley when we got word that your Dad had passed. We reflected on those days/years that had been and the days/years that won't be. Gone way to early but never ever forgotten.
I could go on and on with story after story, he was a big part of our lives. I will never forget my trip with him to New London Sail Fest to see fireworks, we talked about going back every year since and I have never seen fireworks like them since.
We miss him. We loved him. We are sorry. He will always be remembered, he can now ride that bike in the heavens with those whom left before him.
We are thinking of all of his family and all his friends. Praying for all of his family and all his friends.
Rest easy Jake, rest easy and remember we all will be riding together again some day, until then we will follow the GPS, we all know Don can't get anywhere without that damn GPS.
Jake, thanks for always having my back and when Donnie showed up on his white iron horse thanks for having his as well. Till we meet again.
