Obituary of Brian R. Reinhard

 

CHESHIRE - Brian Reinhard, 75, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden.  He was the husband of Joanne P. (Pearsall) Reinhard.

 

Mr. Reinhard was born August 23, 1943 in Waterbury, the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Gaug) Reinhard.  He was a lifelong Cheshire resident, graduating from Cheshire High School Class of 1961.  He served his country for many years as a Diesel Mechanic in the U.S. Navy.  After his years in the service he continued his trade as Co-Owner of the Reinhard Corporation in Orange as well as B. Reinhard and Sons in Cheshire.  He was a member of the Congress of Rough Riders, a Cowboy Action shooting organization that utilizes attire and guns of that era.  He loved fishing and everything outdoors and most importantly he loved spending time with his family.

 

Besides his wife of 53 years, Mr. Reinhard is survived by his daughter Susan E. Reinhard; his sons Steven C. Reinhard and John R. Reinhard and his wife Deb; his sister Janet Pinette and her husband Joe; his in-laws Pat and Phyllis Rubbo and Roger and Barbara Pearsall; his grandchildren Christina, Rebecca, Madelyn and Bryan; his great grandchild, Wells; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Besides his parents he is predeceased by his brother, Robert H. Reinhard, and his sister, Judith Gallaher.

 

Arrangements – A funeral service will be held on Monday August 27, 2018, at 1 p.m.at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St.  A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in the State Veteran's Cemetery, Bow Lane, Middletown.  Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Poodle Rescue of Connecticut, Inc., P.O. Box 188, Naugatuck, CT 06770.
