Obituary of Robert Behari

Naugatuck - Robert “Bobby” Behari, 59, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 after losing his courageous battle with cancer. Bobby was surrounded by his loving family and his fiancé Marjorie Hager.

Mr. Behari was born October 7, 1958, in Danbury, the son of the late William and Alfreda (Silkman) Behari Sr. Bobby served in the Army and prior to his retirement, he worked in the construction industry. In his leisure time, Bobby enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes, NASCAR, fishing and trips to Foxwoods Casino.  He liked to take long rides and discover new places; he loved the water and would often head down to the beaches in West Haven.  Bobby had a kind heart and a warm gentle soul ; he would always offer his assistance to whoever needed him.  He will be sorely missed by those who loved him.

In addition to his fiancé Marjorie, Bobby is survived by his son, Matthew Behari; his daughters, Heather Wolfe and Kristin Behari; his brothers, William Jr., Joseph, and John, and his sisters, Jean Heron and Barbara Urban. He will also be missed by his two grandchildren, Christian and Jayce and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Alfred Behari.  He also leaves behind his beloved pets; Chloe, Max, Buddy, Holly, & Wolfie who were a constant comfort to him during his illness.

Services for Mr. Behari will be private and burial will be at the convenience of his family.  The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home at 201 Meadow Street, Naugatuck, Ct. has been entrusted with his arrangements. A memorial gathering will be held on October 7, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home followed by a reception at Jesse Camille’s Restaurant, 615 Church Street, Naugatuck, Ct.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06111.
