Obituary of Marcia L. Mitchell

MERIDEN- Marcia L. Mitchell, 88, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was the widow of William B. Mitchell who predeceased her in 2011 after 59 years of marriage.

Mrs. Mitchell was born August 7, 1930 in Barre, VT daughter of the late Joseph and Ruth (Kelton) Sanguinetti.

Marcia was a Director of Medical Records in the hospital/nursing home industry prior to her retirement. She was one of the first professionals to institute paperless record keeping in this industry. In her free time Marcia loved to travel, the outdoors where she was an avid skier, hiker, and camper, an artist, loved to dance, sing, and listen to music. A cause close to her heart was fostering animals, and an advocate for protecting the environment for future generations. Above all she was an amazing mother, and grandmother, who loved spending quality time with her family.

She is survived by her two sons Mark W. and his wife Michele Mitchell of Barnet, VT, and Craig T. Mitchell and his wife Laura of Pendleton, IN; her daughter Diane M. and her husband Richard Zettergren of Meriden; a brother Ronald Sanguinetti of Moretown, VT; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Arrangements- A service for Mrs. Mitchell will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in Horsemeadow Cemetery in Haverhill, N.H at the convenience of the family. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410 is assisting the family with the arrangements.
