Obituary of Marion H. Schmidt

Marion H. Schmidt, age 98, of Waterbury passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Bucks Hill in Waterbury.  She was born on November 13, 1919, daughter of the late Gustave Schmidt, Sr. and Lucille (Ungerwitter) Schmidt.

Marion was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Waterbury, and was a Line Inspector in Assembly for North American Philips.  She also worked as a waitress at Lakewood lanes and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially going out to restaurants.

She is the loving sister of Lucille Guarneri of Florida and Dorothy Volles of Niantic, and many cherished nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews, to include, Karl Schmidt and his spouse, Michael Segedi of Wallingford who faithfully and lovingly cared for Marion over the last few decades. She was predeceased by her brothers, Robert, Roy, Joseph, William and Gustave, Jr.

Marion’s family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to her two homecare aides, Tolamati Rampersaud and Mary Loyola, for their compassionate care that provided to Marion.
