Obituary of Charlotte B. Bisson

Charlotte B. Bisson, age 76, of Grantham, NH and formerly Cheshire, CT entered into rest after a short illness on Thursday, October 4, 2018 in Concord, NH.  She was born on February 22, 1942 in Lead Hill, Arkansas, daughter of the late Albert Clay and Neva (Yocham) Brown.

 

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was predeceased by her brothers, Claude Brown and Walter Ray Brown; her sisters, Georgia Beason, Eileen Holt, Mary Ruth Richey, Wilma Cooper and Joyce Beam.

 

Charlotte is survived by her devoted husband, Dr. Richard J. Bisson; her loving children, Michael Street and his wife, Jana of Middletown, and Kelli Simmon and her husband, Jeff of Glastonbury; three step-children, Dr. Jeff Bisson and his wife Stephanie of Cheshire, Georgette Bisson-Moore and her husband Stephen of St. Louis, Missouri, and Jennifer Bendar and her husband Rob of Seattle, Washington; one brother, Col. Carl Brown and wife Nancy of Lead Hill, Arkansas; one sister, Madge Kennemer of Seymour, Missouri; twelve cherished grandchildren, Joshua and Jessica Street, Jack and Jenna Simmon, Tyler, Elena, and Camille Bisson, Leo, Elliot, and Jonah Moore, Sam and Zeke Bendar; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

 

Charlotte retired from Central Connecticut State University after many years of service, where she was the Director of Registrar. She was very active in her garden club and took great joy in sitting outdoors in the sun and watching over her gardens.

 

Friends may greet Charlotte’s family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So.
