Obituary of Don C. Petteway

WATERBURY- Don C. Petteway, 59, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family and friends. He was the loving husband of Cindy J. (Hlatt) Petteway, whom he was married to for 28 years.

Mr. Petteway was born March 14, 1959 in San Angelo, TX.  He was the son of Nancy and the late Robert Petteway.

Don was a Facility Maintenance Engineer for CBRE prior to his illness. In his free time Don was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends.  Don was also known for his handyman skills.  He enjoyed working on restoring his classic Pontiac Lemans.  He enjoyed taking his dog for long walks.  Don will always be remembered for his kindness and willingness to help others.

Besides his wife and mother, Mr. Petteway is survived by his daughter Melissa and her husband Carlos of Texas; his son Thomas Petteway of Waterbury; a brother Mark and his wife Carol Petteway, and their children Toni and John of North Richland Hills, TX; and his sister Anne Hulse of Corpus Christy, TX.

Arrangements- Calling hours for Mr. Petteway will be held 5 to 6:30 P.M, Tuesday, November 20 2018, at The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow Street, 06770. A service will be held at 6:30 P.M to conclude the calling hours. Donations in his name can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
