Obituary of Lillian DeVylder
CHESHIRE - Lillian C. DeVylder, 97, passed away Saturday December 29, 2012 at the Alzheimer's Resource Center in Plantsville. She was the wife of the late Edgar P. DeVylder who passed away in 1972.
Mrs. DeVylder was born December 16, 1915 in Ansonia, the daughter of the late Frank A. and Mary (Hickey) Cordett. She was a longtime resident of Cheshire where she was a communicant of St. Bridget Church, as well as a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was an Administrative Assistant for Southern New England Telephone and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Mrs. DeVylder is survived by her children Edgar of Stamford, Lillian Moore of Clinton, MD, Robert of Cheshire, Eileen Meier of Greer, SC, Dennis of Wolfeboro, NH, David of Cheshire and Thomas of Cheshire; fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 5, 2013, 9:45 from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
