Dorothy was a dear, dear friend. One of the first I made when I moved to CT. We worked together and my husband and I spent many a weekend with her and George at their summer cottage on Sebago Lake. We became part of their extended family and continue to enjoy that privilege. I will never forget her stories and all the times she made me laugh. I will remember and love her always.

Dot was a special woman. She loved her family, her friends and she lived every moment of her life to the fullest. No one could believe her age because she would bounce around, laughing, dancing and was so energetic. She lit up the room with her sparkling eyes and loved to make everyone else happy. I uploaded some pictures of Dot, in her red hat, with the alpacas, playing Santa at the Family and Friends night, the artwork is of Lake Waramaug where her family spent summers, the Meatza pie recipe.... We were very lucky to have had such good times with her at Southmayd Home for so many years! Dot, you will be missed. To her family and friends, please accept my deepest sympathy. May you be comforted by the happy memories of your time together.

My Mother and I were remebering the wonderful times we spent with Dot and George with the Fritzes at my grandparents (Norm and Blanche Lawson)house on Christmas nights and at First Baptist Church functions and in Maine. We are happy to know that Dot lived such a long happy life and kept her beautiful smile. Our prayers are with your family.

It was my great honor and pleasure to have known Dot during the years I served on the Board of Directors at Southmayd Home. I will remember Dot for her always upbeat attitude, her fun loving ways and her care for others. It doesn't seem that long ago that she was doing laps around Fulton Park and pulling a little red wagon to pick up twigs and branches all around the Southmayd property. She was a beautiful woman in every way and knowing her has enriched my life. She will be greatly missed by so many and Southmayd Home has lost a shining star. My husband joins me in extending our very deepest sympathy for your great loss. Sincerely, Michele and James Finn
