I believe I can speak for most when I say "Novametrix was like our second family". And who but Bill, was of course, the leader of the family. Bill was certainly about business and getting the job done, however he was also just a marshmallow inside and anyone that worked for him knew that they could go to him for guidance or advise whether it be business or personal. He loved his employees and always tried to make "Nova" a great place to work, even at his own expense. There are so many stories that all of us will cherish, laugh and reminisce about. There was just something special about working there together that you just can't quite ever replace. We may not even really understand how we became a family, unless of course you were one of the "Nova Crew". I know that I cherish my time that was spent with Bill over the 15 years that I worked at Novametrix. We are all so lucky to have had such a great Second Family with Bill to lead the way. Thank you Bill for all that you did for your Second Family, you will truly be missed by all of the "Nova Crew."

I knew Bill through my work at the CT DEP and his leadership on the Point O'Woods WPCA. In over 35 years at DEP and meeting many WPCA members, I rank Bill in my top three favorites. I had nothing but the utmost respect for him as to how he conducted himself in some very difficult times with the public. I thoroughly enjoyed working with a person so committed to the public good. I remember a meeting at your lovely home at Point O'Woods and knew of his love for your special place. I was saddened to hear of his passing and send my deepest condolences to his entire family. Sincerely, Bill Hogan, retired from the CT DEP.

Dear Sheila and family, Across the miles we send our sympathy on the loss of your beloved husband, father and grandfather. Having worked closely for many years with Bill at Novametrix I can assure you he was indeed a man of wisdom with great vision for the future, demanded only the highest quality products from his employees and above all a very caring man. I am proud to remember him as a wonderful mentor and true friend.

I have the opportunity to talk to Bill last year, when he was at Yale New Haven Hospital.
I'm glad that I could tell him this: We love you!
I can not understand why, but for a lot of reasons we do love you.
The first one, is his motto: "Will you put this in your child?"
That was our beacon at Novametrix!
I talk to him and he told me: "Engineers hate me!"
"You are absolutely wrong! We love you!"
Tony Pierry believes that without you, live would have been ...."
Ray Davis is "for ever grateful". You are going to design the Capnostat! And he did.
Bill not only did provide jobs to John, Paul, Harvey, Rich, Herb, Tony, Erik, Lou, Bob, David, Toni, Mike, etc. He managed them to create great products that improved patient life.
