Myself and my family are so sorry for your loss. Aunt Esther was my favourite Aunt and also a great friend when she came to the U.K. She managed to transcend the generations, she communicated just as well with my Grandchildren as she did with myself and my mother, her older sister when she was alive. She will be sadly missed by her relations in this part of the world.

Esther was the perfect mother-in-law and I loved her and missed her dearly. I will never forget the wonderful lemon meringue pies that she made, and then gave me the whole pie to take home! Her Thanksgiving stuffing recipe was her guarded secret that she finally shared with me after knowing me for twelve years! Unfortunately, I no longer remember it. Her cooking was delicious, and she cooked for me many, many times. I remember her as an avid reader, taking the bus to go to the library, and how close she was to Edna and Irma. I was fortunate enough to visit with her a couple of years ago and share my life and my children with her. May she forever rest in peace.
