To all of you, I am so sorry. I just returned from an out of state trip today to this sad, sad news. I feel awful that I was not there for you. Your mom has been a part of my life as long as I can remember and before, I am sure. No doubt that she and my mom and grandmother are giggling away in heaven. They were all such good friends.

To Rob and Family, Since I heard that Bella past I've been reflecting back to my time spent with her and your family. A very vulnerable time in my life when I was a teenager who spent more time at Bella's family's house than my own. I realize now the huge influence Bella and Phil had on my life. They treated me like I was just another person in their family even though they had a big one of their own. Bella and Phil were so accepting, nonjudgmental, loving and nurturing toward me. Bella showed me what a good marriage is like, what a loving family is like, and how to prepare food! All very important things to know in life. From selling corn across the street to snowmobiling, the times I spent with Bella and her family are truly my happiest childhood memories. I loved when I got to hang out at Ernie's in his apartment across the street and when Maryann and Gary let me play with their babies, and I remember doing cartwheels with Terry and Tracy at Brian and Nancy's house, and Rena, Andrea and Sherry, Bella's beautiful teenage granddaughters. None of which would have happened if Bella and Phil were not so accepting of me. It's my goal to be a positive influence on young people that come into my life the way that Bella was to me. I just want to say to Rob and his brothers and sisters, "Thank you for sharing your family with me and thank you for sharing your Mom. I feel truly blessed for having had her in my life for a few short years in the past; and lucky to have gotten a chance to spend a few times with her over the past couple of years." You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Phil ,Robbie & family; I M sad to hear of Bella's passing. I was driving by her beautiful ,flower -filled yard , saw the EMTs & police, and said a prayer for her. Your Mom was a great person & I M sure she is in heaven planting flowers & holding Philips hand. Never forgotten, The Paterno's.
