Obituary of Lowell Fredsall
WOLCOTT- Lowell "Fred" Marvin Fredsall, 78, passed away Friday November 8, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of Mercedes "Cedy" (Clisham) Fredsall whom he was married to for 57 years.
Fred was born April 10, 1935 in Waterbury. He was the son of the late Kenneth Franklin and Ann (Martinosky) Fredsall.
He was a graduate of Naugatuck High School Class of 1953. Fred proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War where he earned a Good Conduct and National Defense Service Medal. He was a Line Foreman for S.N.E.T prior to his retirement.
Fred was a communicant of St. Maria Goretti Church in Wolcott. He loved watching the Boston Red Sox, Miami Dolphins, and was a avid Fishermen. He was a member of the Waterbury Elks Lodge #265. His biggest joy besides spending time with his family was going on his annual Myrtle Beach Golf Trip which he did for the past thirty years. Fred will be missed by his friends at "The Cave" The Community Restaurant.
Besides his loving wife Fred is survived by two sons William Fredsall of Wolcott, David and his wife Michelle Fredsall of Wolcott; two daughters Kathy and her husband Rich Mulligan of Old Lyme, and Donna Fredsall of Wolcott; four grandchildren William T. Moriarty of Watertown, Stephen Dean and Aislyn Carey Fredsall both of Wolcott, and Dylan Thomas Mulligan of Old Lyme; and several Nieces, Nephews, and his very close friend Bernie Nolan. Fred was predeceased by a son Stephen Michael Fredsall, a daughter Kathy Ann Fredsall, and a granddaughter Colleen Mariah Moriarty.
Arrrangements- Fred's funeral will be held 8:45 A.M Wednesday November 13, 2013 from the Mulville Funeral Home, 270 West Main St, Waterbury, 06710 to St. Maria Goretti's Church, 1300 Woodtick Road, Wolcott, 06710 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. Burial with full military honors will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross St, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held Tuesday November 12, 2013 from 5 to 8 P.M at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in Fred's name may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105 in honor of his son Stephen Michael, or to the Colleen Mariah Moriarty Memorial Scholarship C/O Sacred Heart High School, 142 South Elm Street, Waterbury, CT 06706.
