My deepest sympathy to Fr. Bob's family. I met Fr.Bob when he was assigned to Holy Family Church in Enfield,Ct. We became friends, and when I was going to school for the Diaconate he was my Spiritual Director. He was so down to earth and easy to talk to, and I will always remember him and be grateful to him for all he meant to me, and my family. My children all loved him. I have moved to S.C. so I haven't seen him in some time and I was so sad to hear of his passing. May God bring him home and give him the same peace that he gave to so many in his years of ministry.

Father Bob entered our life with the tragic death of our baby Nephew. His compassion and love demonstrated how Christ lives amongst us at all times. Fr. Bob gave us the strength to understand as humans that death is not the end, but the beginning of life forever. He is the reason we converted to the Catholic faith. He also buried my wife's Father without question. As Fr. Bob said, " Who am I to judge ? ". Truly a remarkable human being put on this earth to do God's will. We will have prayers said for Father Bob this Sunday.

I got to know Fr. Bob through his visits to see his mom, Eleanor at the Highlands, which i worked. I got to know him & his lovely family. He had a special way about him that you could talk to him about anything & i did. He was an angel on earth as he now is in heaven. He will be surely missed by all who have ever talked to him, he always had a kind word & a joke in which to make you smile. Jean, Judy & Nancy....my prayers & condolences to your & your families.

We are truly heartbroken over the loss of our favorite priest and pastor at St Bridgets. Father Bob was one in a million! "How y'all doing?" he would say every Sunday as he stood at the pulpit to begin his homily. He is the only priest I ever really listened to word for word! He preached from the heart not from the book. Fr Bob will be sorely missed. He was loved by all and he impacted the lives of everyone he touched. With great love and admiration, Carey and Larry Fitzgerald and family

Dear Friends and Family of Fr. Bob, Fr. Bob and I were classmates at Christ the King Seminary and graduated in 1979 together. We have not had too much contact with each other since, but I will always remember the joys and friendship that we shared at CKS. Bob had a tremendous talent for bringing life to a room and a tremendous compassionate heart. His musical talents and humor are legendary. I thank God that I was able to share a part of his life with him and offer my condolences to his family and friends. Unfortunately, I am not able to make it up for the funeral, but I will offer my mass that day for him. I am now the Vice Rector of Christ the King Seminary, and we have a special celebration of our feast day on the same day as Fr. Bob's funeral.

Father Bob was one in a million. Loved, respected and admired by everyone fortunate to meet him. His love for life, his infectious smile, his heart larger than life can never be replaced. He truly made St. Bridget and this community a better place. He bought humanity back to church and made you want to be there to hear him speak. I am so sorry for the void he will leave in his family's life, my family's life and everyone else whose life he touched. Father there will never be another you and the sadness of not seeing you saddens me more than words can describe. We will be forever grateful for having you come into our lives. I hope you know how much you were loved.

So it's taken me 24 hours to comment on the loss of our treasured pastor because I just couldn't believe it to be true. But I have to weigh in on the impact your friend, son, brother, pastor had on me and my family.First of course the "balloons" sermon, we heard it year after year and for each of us it resonates ....because that's what Father Bob did for all of us....he was the real deal, humble, happy, helpful. He brought us all into his Italian family and helped us love our own even more. I remember the balloons and his amazing rendition of "desperado" .....singing it all the way through, it was amazing and so inspiring. .....and when he blessed my girls American Girl dolls during the Eucharist, so much love. We were all welcome at his table! He was to marry my first born next April at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and we will deeply miss him on that special day..... he was family. We will miss you terribly Father Bob ....may you rest in love in the heavenly kingdom.

Our hearts are so sad with the loss of our beloved Father Bob. He was full of life, joy,and spirit - he made us smile and laugh, but always in God's grace. Whether he was at school checking in with our kids, fist-bumping the kids down the aisle after Mass ("I'm so glad you're here!") or comforting those in need, he was always present and loving. He set our hearts and spirts on fire at St. Bridget's. Our prayers and thoughts are with his family during this most tender time.

Fr. Bob, you always said that if we wanted to talk to our family and friends who had passed away we should. So I’d like to thank you for your leadership of our parish, your great sense of humor and your homilies on forgiveness which will stay with me forever. Thinking of how you began each homily I imagined you walking through the Pearly Gates, looking around and saying “How ya’ll doin’? Good? Good. I pray that the Lord grants your family and our parish family strength and peace through these difficult times.

Father Bob will be missed sorely by the St. Bridget School community. He was a truly remarkable pastor, with a sense of humor that resonated with his faculty, staff and students. He was a wonderful person. I knew him from his brief time at Good Shepherd and saw him a few times after he settled in at St. Bridget's. When my dad was at Gaylord for stroke rehab, I emailed Father Bob to ask if his parish had an outreach ministry there, being one town away. Mom and I were surprised and pleased to walk into my father's room one Sunday and find Father Bob visiting with Dad. He had a warm and loving heart.
