Obituary of Margaret Lubinski

NAUGATUCK- Mrs. Margaret E. (O'Neil) Lubinski, 72, of Naugatuck, passed away Wednesday Nov. 20, 2013 at the Waterbury Hospital. Mrs. Lubinski was born in Watertown, Nov. 15, 1941, a daughter of the late Gerald and Helen (Donston) O'Neil and had been a Naugatuck resident for the past 13 years, moving here from Waterbury. She was formerly employed by the Waterbury VNA as a home companion, prior to her retirement. Following her retirement, she worked with NOW, Inc. in the Senior Companion Program. She enjoyed attending the Summer Concert Series on the Green in Naugatuck and regular visits to the Senior Center, and loved spending time with her Grandchildren, and her great-grandson. She leaves her son, John Lubinski, Jr. and his wife, Sherrie of Beacon Falls; two daughters, Sandra Vernon and her husband Rudolph of Waterbury and Patricia Roman and her husband Jose Roman, Jr. of Naugatuck; 3 brothers, William O'Neil and his wife, Irma of Van Buren, Ca., Charles O'Neil and his wife Anna Marie, and James O'Neil of Waterbury; 4 sisters, Anna Mae "Nancy" O'Neil and Sheron Shepard and her husband Robert all of Waterbury, Jean Schmaling and Karen Dinneny both of Naugatuck; 5 grandchildren, Rebekah Arnold, Jessica Sandler, Phylicia Roman, Jose Roman, III, and Nicholas Lubinski; one Great-grandson, Ryan Sandler and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Gerald O'Neil. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10:15 a.m. from the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. and proceed to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home of Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.
