I met Mr. Boland while attending Babson, he came and cheered on ALL our Swim meets. Tom and I became good friends and eventually roommates. We would always have great times when David came to visit. I still cannot understand why he Liked me, I was the crazy kid from Maine that had fun and probably added more color to Tom's college life than his parent would have liked at times. While moving Tom out of our room in Central, David found a few things that he was not happy about, but they were mine not Tom's as he was told. Tom was walking on egg shells coming out to the car as we were loading it up, but David still gave me a huge grin and shook my hand laughing. I am sure he knew the fun we had and that we were still planning on living together the next year. David has a great family and was a very solid part of the community that he lived in. He will be missed, but I will always be smiling with the memories he has left with me.
I am sorry I can not be there to celebrate his life with you and the family.

Margaret and family, we are so sorry for the loss of David. I'm so glad to have known him. Cancer is a horrible disease that takes so much from who it attacks. It can sometimes take dignity from a person, but David like Eddie were two men who were so brave and courageous. You will always miss him, but will be relieved, that he is not suffering any more. Dear Margaret and Family: I am writing to offer you my sincere sympathy in your loss. It has been many, many years since I have seen you Margaret, about 49 as best I can guess. I was visiting my folks and had an abscessed tooth that David extracted. He was a wonderful man and I am so saddened to read that Cancer took his life also. A horrible disease that seems to hit so many of our loved ones. I lost my first husband Terry to it also. My prayers are with you and your family.
