My Grandpa was a great guy. He liked to joke around with me and tease me. We liked some of the same things, like cars, motorcycles and eating corn. I used to like going tot he beach in Rhode Island with Grandpa. I'm sad that he got sick and had to go through this. I wish he could still be here. But I'm glad he's with Gram and Gramp now.

My Grandpa would always greet us by saying "Hey Moe." Grandpa always liked to tease me and Ryan. Grandpa liked to joke around with us until he got sick. When he got sick, he was confused and had a hard time remembering things. Now he's in a better place and he's not in pain anymore. I think Grandpa is in heaven with his parents, Pop and my three dogs. I wonder if he's a child again, with his Mom & Dad, or the same age he was, only happy and healthy and working on cars with his friends. Grandpa had great hair, it looked like Elvis's hair. My other grandfather, Pop, used to be jealous of Grandpa's hair, because Pop didn't have much hair. I had fun at the beach in Rhode Island with Grandpa. He loved the beach. We'd walk on the beach together and watch the boats come in from the ocean. I'll miss my Granpda and I will never forget him.

Dear Diane and family, Every so often I check Alderson's website. I just went on and saw about Richie. Richie was 2 years ahead of me in school. Whenever I would see him in the hallways, he was quite a character to contend with. Later on my sister, Sally Dery worked with Richie and they became good friends. When Tami was born, he treated her like gold! I got to see Richie whenever I went home for a visit. (I had moved to Chicago and then Florida.) We all would just laugh and laugh. I am sorry that we never were able to meet. I know he just absolutely loved his family! That just warmed my heart! You and your family are in my heart, thoughts, and prayers. To the Barbieri Family, I, like everyone was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Rich. Anyone who has been fortunate enough to have any association with Rich will certainly agree that this world has lost an amazing human being. Rich was certainly in a class by himself, and to borrow a cliché, a true stand up kind of guy. His work ethic, his love for his family and his genuine nature will never be forgotten by the people who were fortunate enough to have Rich as part of their life! My personal experiences with Rich have always included his humor, hard work, dedication and an overall awe of just listening to the words and stories he would share. My fondest memory of Rich was being able to share Thanksgiving dinner with the Barbieri family several years ago. To date, this was one of the greatest Thanksgivings I've ever had and will always be thankful to the Barbieri family for allowing me to join them and making me part of the 'family' on that special day! To Dianne, Nick and Mike (and the entire family) my heart and thoughts go out to all during this difficult time. I just want you all to know that while I may not have been introduced to Rich until I was an adult, I will always take his values and work ethic with me and cherish the times with him. My condolences to all, and please take some solace knowing how impactful Rich was on many lives and how special he was to not only his family but everyone who he came into contact with...
