My wife, Susan, and I were on vacation when we heard this and were absolutely floored. We have known Bob for years and found him to be a super person. Since the first time I met Bob I knew their would be many fun times. Spent a lot of time with Bob at the golf course and was amazed with what words of wisdom would come from him. He made chasing the little ball around so easy. The first summer that he retired we played almost every day, he called it "The Summer of Bob" I learned more at the 19th hole than in school. Bob was a wealth of knowledge and I will miss him dearly. My condolences to his entire family. RIP my friend, you will be missed by all. Even now I can only smile when I think of him, that is what he was able to do to people. We all love and miss you!

I never knew Mr. Crane but I was present when the accident happened. I wish to leave my condolances! I also want to reassure you he was not alone after it happened. A wonderful off duty EMS person stopped to help and a young man ran over to assist. Many nurses were there talking to him and consoling him providing reassurances that help was coming. I don't know if he ever heard us but we tried. People covered him to keep him warm. I was so sorry to hear he had passed. I pray he is at peace!

I knew Bob through his son Bobby. Bobby and I became fast friends in High School and often on nights out exploring the world he would mention how grateful he was for his father who always gave a generous allowance for our adventures. As we grew older I continued to hear sweet stories of how much Bobby loved his father Bob and always remembered how sweet Bob was to us as children. He will be missed, and always remembered. Jim, Molly & Brooke send their love from CA.

I didn't know Bob prior to the night of the accident but I am sure he was a wonderful man. I am a nurse and I was one of the individuals at his side that night. I was able to talk to him and provide him some comfort and help in any way I could. I want all of his family and friends to know that he was not alone, so many people came to help. Please take comfort in these words. God bless you.

Bobs passing has had a great impact on his fellow golfer here at Farmingbury Hills Golf Course. He was considered a strong and stable force in his position on the Men's golf association. I am very sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Crane. I had him in Hopeville School when I was 6 for Second grade. I still remember him after over 37 years as he was the first male teacher I had and have fond memories of him being so nice and a great teacher. I am so sorry for your loss. Danette L.
