Dad, over the years we have had our ups and downs for varying reasons, but no matter what, you instilled so many great values in me that I will continue to take with me and pass onto my children. Keep life simple, material things do not make the person or the relationship. Create traditions, memories that will be remembered and expected year to year. Set goals, no matter how big or small, with enough determination you will get there one day. Smile and love often as it is infectious, and lastly be kind, caring and helpful and open minded, you never know the life that you may impact and leave a lasting impression on. I miss you so much with so many thing left unsaid and undone. Watch over us and keep smiling in heaven!

Amid the craziness and unruliness of us high school kids at the Prince Tech plumbing shop, Maida, as we called him, always kept us under control and focused. I could never thank him enough for getting me my start in the plumbing industry. Now, thanks to his influence in my life, I have all licenses in plumbing and HVAC. My condolences go out to all his loved ones.
RIP Maida.
Luis Cordeiro, Prince Tech Class of 2006.

I met John while working at Prince Tech. It was a pleasant surprise to see him when he first came to Kaynor. When I think of him, I think of integrity. John was an honest, hard working man who cared for his students and his co-workers. He was fun but always a gentleman. A good, good man. My condolences go out to his loved ones.

Mr. Maida is my sons plumbing teacher at Kaynor Tech and I just spoke to him on the phone about 2 weeks ago,.He really cares about his students. He told me that my son "has the nack" for the field of plumbing.I told him my son wants to go onto HVAC, and he was very happy to hear that.We spoke about giving kids all the tools to make it in this field, and said he will help any student to go as far as they can and then some. He spoke very highly of my son, and that made me feel so good, knowing he was a crucial part of sending my son on the right road to a successful career. My son also cared very much for Mr.Maida, and just told me last night that he will keep striving to be a success in the field of plumbing and hvac to make Mr. Maida proud. This is such a tragic loss to our community and mostly our kids. Thank you Mr.Maida for being so inspiring to my son, and caring so much for each and every one of them. You were taken from us way too soon, but I know you are an angel in heaven, and will continue to watch over our kids. May God keep you with him in Peace for eternity. God Bless You and our sincere heartfelt sympathies to your family. We will pray for you all.Rest in Peace Mr. Maida...The Angurio Family

John was my roommate during our Class of 2009 Trip to Virginia, from AI Prince. He was into Harleys so he had to visit the Harley store near Williamsburg. That night at lights out I learned that John and I shared the same trait: we both snored. John was such a decent man, he gave up 4 days to help watch a group of high school seniors. We shared many laughs on that trip! I will miss him, and I will never forget him!
