Obituary of Olga Fisco
CHESHIRE - Olga (Coppola) Fisco, 84, passed away Sunday February 2, 2014 at CT Hospice in Branford. She was the wife of the late Marshall Fisco who passed away in 2012.
Mrs. Fisco was born February 24, 1929 in Providence, RI, the daughter of the late Emilio and Raphaela Coppola and the step-daughter of the late Hilda Coppola. She was a 1950 graduate of St. Joseph College with a degree in biology. She was employed as a supervisor at New Britain General Hospital for 18 years in the Blood Bank. She was a member and former President of the Junior Women's Club of New Britain and the Cheshire Women's club. She volunteered for many years with the Red Cross Bloodmobile.
Mrs. Fisco is survived by her step-daughters Kathleen Borrelli and Jim Chisholm of Meriden and Marsha Guarnieri and her husband Lawrence of Cheshire; her step-son Marshall Fisco Jr. of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren Lee Borelli, Loretta Benigni, Kate Hannon and Lawrence Guarnieri Jr.; five great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mrs. Fisco is pre-deceased by her step-daughter Lauren Fisco-Janowitz; her brother Nicholas Coppola and her sisters Esther Battaline and Ada Amodio.
Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Friday February 14, 2014, 11 a.m. at St. Bridget Church 175 Main St., Cheshire. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven. There are no calling hours.
