Obituary of Pearl Warner

WATERBURY- Pearl Schilling Warner, 93, passed away Sunday March 30, 2014 in the VITAS unit of St. Mary's Hospital. She was the widow of Albert Warner Sr. She was born March 24, 1921 in Waterbury daughter of the late Joseph G. and Stella (Sills) Schilling. Pearl early in her marriage worked at Naugatuck Rubber and later in life at Bradlees. She was very active in the United Methodist Church of Waterbury serving on many committees and President of the UMW for many years. She and Al loved to travel and camp. She enjoyed playing with her Prospect canasta buddies for over 50 years. Her greatest joy was her family. In the last several years through many illnesses her goal was always to return home to her back porch. Pearl is survived by two daughters Sandra Barlow of Waterbury, and Nancy and her husband Robert Rhodes of Wolcott; a son Albert L. Jr. and his wife Marjory Warner of Denver, CO; a sister Lois Carey of Wolcott; a sister in law Lillian Schilling of Wolcott; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandson; six step grandchildren; and many step grandchildren. She was predeceased by her grandson Mark A. Tessier, a great grandson R-Jay Domondon, son in law Frank Barlow, and her brothers Joseph Jr., Frederick, and Richard Schilling. Arrangements- Pearl's funeral will be held 10 A.M, Thursday April 3, 2014 at the United Methodist Church of Waterbury, 250 Country Club Road, 06708. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be held in Woodtick Cemetery at a later date. Calling hours will be held Wednesday April 2, 2014 from 5 to 7 P.M at The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, 06710. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to The United Methodist Church of Waterbury, 250 Country Club Road, 06708, or to a charity of one's choice.
