I would like to pay tribute to a wonderful man and the best father-in-law I could have ever dreamed of. Since day one (and its been some time now) he has made me feel more like a daughter than an in-law. My father-in-law Gerardo was a very wise man who loved his family and friends. We were very lucky to go to Italy with him this past summer where he took great pride in showing his grandchildren his heritage and in meeting many of his relatives, you could tell he was much loved in his homeland and it was a beautiful time in all our lives. I remember he would give me advice and say I will give you advice once and then its up to you to do what you think. He was a great philosopher and very ingenuitive. I love seeing all the things he would make around his house with what ever material he had to make something work. I will miss coming home and seeing him out with the goats, in the garden, or doing a project at his or our house. I will especially miss all his stories of the old days, of his homeland, and all the hard work to make it here in America. I can go on forever about him and can not believe he is gone which leaves a whole in our lives, he may be gone in body but I'm sure not in spirit he will always find some way to be with us.
