My prayers and condolences for a true gentleman and scholar. I met Austin in September 1967 at CHESHIRE ACADEMY, and, although i never had Austin as a Master he would always say HELLO MAC....while passing me in the halls of SEABURY....Over the years i have thought often of him because i respected him for who he was,and i know in my heart that he is now not only in the company of his MAKER...but also with the other wonderful people who have cast their shadow upon this planet. May he rest in peace...and...THANK YOU AUSTIN.....DAVID MCKAY '71.

I am sorry that I was not able to say Good- Bye to your dad, I was out of town.. We (VEF) think of your dad often, and the resident's would always bring up how no one could beat your dad at Wii. He was a "Special Man" and he was very lucky to have you Joe and Debra. Joe, your dad would always tell me what you were doing that day, wether it be at the fire station/teaching or your day off -when he expected you to come and play Wii or go out to breakfast,, and Debra those lunches you would bring up for him, he always looked forward to both of you visiting him. You both are in my prayers. God Bless your Dad. Karen (VEF Nurse)

We come from a generation that now matter how old the nieces and nephews get, we still refer to Austin as Uncle Austin. Mainly out of respect and it just never sounded right just to call him Austin. I have had the joy of being part of this family for over 60 years and remembering Uncle Austin's sense of humor and his laugh will stay in my heart and memory forever. Aunty Nivette and Uncle Austin enjoyed life to the fullest and loved and enjoyed their family. You will be missed.
